Why Stewart's Classes?
By Mark Swenson

As far as I am aware, I have performed in more productions put on by/through Mrs. Stewart than any other person alive. Seeing as how this is my one claim to fame I will cling to that title as long as I can. When I was younger I was involved in the classes because it was what my mother told me I had to do. As I got older and closer to high school I realized how much I enjoyed the social and academic rewards that came from being involved in her classes. I think one of the biggest differences between kids who are homeschooled and kids who are not is the social difference. DianeÕs classes gave me a chance to express myself in a creative and fun environment, without having to worry about my ideas being immediately shutdown or ignored. Besides teaching basic skills such as time management, stage presence, and how to write a college essay, Diane teaches students to believe in themselves, their ideas and their dreams, and how to voice their opinions so that they will be heard. Supposedly, public speaking is the biggest worldwide fear; even worse than death. I recently took a public speaking class at the college level and using some of the skills that I learned from Diane I passed the class with an A. A lot of the kids in my class had a really tough time, but then again, they never had Diane for a teacher. Give your children a step up on everyone else out there; sign them up for a semester with Mrs. Stewart and I can guarantee you that they will take the skills that they learn and develop with them for the rest of their lives.

Here is what people are saying about Dayspring Educational Ministries, Inc. and Mrs. Stewart's teaching:

"Upper level dayspring classes are like college classes; you meet for class to turn in your homework, receive supplemental teaching and learning materials, then learn how to manage your time and be responsible for your own education. Mrs. Stewart requires hard work and best effort. All of that has really helped me out in my college years."...(Sarah, college junior, 5 years of Dayspring classes.)

"Dayspring offers an invaluable service to us as homeschoolers. Diane teaches challenging classes that we are not able to teach at home. The opportunity for our kids to interact and work together in this setting has been a main reason they love homeschooling. We appreciate the Christ-focus and academic challenge Dayspring courses offer. We are so thankful."...(parents)

"Thanks for all the writing classes, Mrs. S. I am far ahead of many in my college classes, and find writing to be a natural and easy part of my assignments."...(Mark)

"your drama classes have impacted me greatly, and helped me to put myself into a demanding life of drama here at college. Thanks!"...(Jasmine)

"I took your drama class when i was 12 (now 22) and tell everyone that i was in TWELFTH NIGHT. Thanks for the great experience!"...(Kellie)
